About The Position

This position supports our 3rd Shift and offers a 15% pay premium while working the 3rd Shift from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on a 4/10 work week, with Fridays off. The role requires full-time, in-person collaboration and must be performed entirely onsite at a BAE Systems facility due to the nature of the work. BAE Systems develops advanced electronics for defense applications across air, land, sea, and space. The Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) division focuses on electronic warfare capabilities, seeking individuals with innovative ideas and a passion for bringing warfighters home safe. This specific role is for an experienced test technician on the first shift manufacturing team, supporting various electronic warfare programs through functional and environmental testing within a test manufacturing team that supports critical mission capabilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Secret Clearance
  • Ability to understand test instruments such as Oscilloscope, multi meters, RF analyzers.
  • Ability to obtain in-house vibration testing certification and other job related certifications as may be required
  • Effective communication and team work
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams
  • Computer literacy
  • RF and digital analog experience

Responsibilities

  • Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences.
  • Lays out and assembles units for production equipment according to designs and specifications.
  • Adjusts and calibrates systems as needed.
  • Modifies equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches.
  • Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
  • Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
  • Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • Follows complex test specifications, test procedures, and verbal instructions to perform a variety of routine standard tests, requiring reading, interpreting, and verifying specifications using simple test stand setups.
  • Assists in complex tests involving the simultaneous use of a wide variety of standard test equipment.
  • Determines quality of equipment being tested by checking test results against specific test procedures and data sheets.
  • Performs troubleshooting activities, sub-assemblies to component level, diagnoses minor deficiencies in equipment, and recommends rework where necessary.
