About The Position

The qualified individual will perform daily activities of the maintenance staff. Be engaged in repairs and maintenance of all material handling equipment and facilities to meet operational/facility needs. This position may require shift flexibility. The successful candidate must be able to work any assigned shift. 2nd Shift Schedule - Tuesday - Friday 1:30 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements

  • 2-3 years previous maintenance experience preferred.
  • Hands-on electrical and material handling, conveyor control and maintenance experience (trade school or two-year degree a plus).
  • Knowledge of high-speed sortation and complex integrated MHE systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide effective operations support without significant Supervisor oversite.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • PC knowledge, including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Be familiar with general lockout/tag out procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in maintenance activities including minor low voltage electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, repair of MHE/conveyors.
  • Analyze defects and failures in the above-referenced areas ensuring resolution with minimal disruption to daily operation of material handling systems and facility needs.
  • Communicate closely with operations staff on problems associated with material handling equipment and building facility needs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on material handling and facilities equipment per provided schedule.
  • Examine equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggest improvement.
  • Participate in team building at all levels within the distribution environment.
  • Be familiar with and practice safe work practices to prevent accidents.
  • Assume additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet the established goals of the facility.
