Under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Tech II will set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment, with responsibility for production and quality. This role involves performing routine inspections and ad-hoc repairs on conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting out-of-service equipment, acting as an escalation point for lower-level technicians, and escalating issues to leadership or more senior technicians when necessary. Key duties include documenting all maintenance issues in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems, as well as maintaining accurate operating logs for various facility systems like fire pumps, generators, and HVAC equipment. The position also entails mentoring other maintenance personnel, assisting with tasks requiring multiple individuals, and undertaking facility/building project work such as light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry, and plumbing repairs. The Maintenance Tech II will assemble and test equipment to ensure correct operation, analyze and record causes of production delays, and implement corrective actions for defects and spoilage. The role requires certification on various industrial lift equipment and involves overseeing projects like minor space renovations, inventory management, and contractor oversight. Additionally, the technician will oversee, inspect, and monitor the routine maintenance performed by junior engineers, providing guidance and training as needed.
