About The Position

The Maintenance Tech II performs preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations, and repairs on electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment/systems. This role also involves routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment, and machinery. The position requires working with standard and specialized maintenance/repair tools, a team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and a focus on continuous improvement. Responsibilities include prioritizing and assigning jobs, monitoring variances, maintaining records and instructions, and performing duties in a safe manner, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures including EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
  • Technical certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations, and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment, and machinery.
  • Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, and measuring devices.
  • Work with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making, with an attitude toward continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize and assign jobs, and monitor variances.
  • Ensure that appropriate records, instructions, and prints are maintained.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner at all times.
  • Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.).
  • Perform Machine Maintenance.
  • Perform Plant and operations maintenance.
  • Follow schedules, procedures, and 6S housekeeping practices.
  • Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency.
  • Offer ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department.
