About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Tech II for the 2nd Shift. This role involves providing superior customer service and maintaining mechanical devices, motors, and pumps. The position requires responding to maintenance requests, repairing and installing woodwork and equipment, performing upholstery, and installing various flooring materials. The role also includes operating milling equipment, lathes, power tools, and welding materials. The working environment can involve varying temperatures, noise levels, crowds, smoke, and requires working in elevated and enclosed areas. Hazards associated with tools, equipment, and electrical shock may be present. Occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions is also part of the role.

Requirements

Completion of a high school education and a minimum of two years’ related experience or through an A.A. degree in a related field or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position.
Able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work areas.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of paint mixing techniques and airless spraying equipment
Knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and equipment.
Knowledge of materials and installation techniques related to carpet, carpet tiles, stone flooring materials, and hardwood floors.
Knowledge of property layout, including sprinklers risers and emergency generator system.
Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

Provides superior customer service, positively affects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
Fabricates, repairs, and maintains mechanical devices, motors and pumps.
Keeps workshop orderly by cleaning tool boxes, putting away tools and parts, and straightening electrical storage area.
Assists in building interface or accessory equipment as needed.
Responds to customer requests for maintenance assistance in order to provide courteous, timely and expert service.
Repairs and installs structural woodwork and equipment; assists in preparing wall surface for painting and wall covering, in order to ensure proper operation of all equipment according to established schedules and department standards.
Performs upholstery work as required.
Installs and maintains all tile, marble floor materials, carpet, and carpet tiles.
Run milling equipment, lathes and power tools; welds materials.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
