Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in food/beverage/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation and Safety standards for food manufacturing
  • Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools
  • Experience in high speed packaging, welding, refrigeration (ammonia) and mechanical power transmission

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in maintenance related field preferred
  • PLC experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting and installation, fulfillment of assigned work orders and unforeseen repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, complete preventative maintenance, good housekeeping and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as extruders, mixers, conveyors, and metal detectors.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
  • Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
  • Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
