About The Position
The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join their Grounds Roads Crew in West Chicago, IL. This role is focused on the maintenance and repair of District roadways, including sealcoating, paving, patching, and repairing gravel and asphalt surfaces, driveways, trails, and parking lots. The position offers an opportunity to join a skilled team dedicated to high-quality work and the mission of the forest preserve.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- 1-3 years of related experience in maintenance duties and operation of machinery and equipment.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required within (6) months in good standing.
- IL Department of Agriculture Pesticide Operator's License within (6) months of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in maintaining roadways.
- Experience in water scaping and hard scaping.
- Experience planting trees and shrubs.
- Experience repairing signage and fences.
- Experience in trail maintenance.
- Current IL Dept. of Agriculture Pesticide Operator's License.
Responsibilities
