GROUNDS/MAINTENANCE TECH
About The Position
This role involves performing building and grounds maintenance activities. The technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining various hand, power, and shop tools, as well as lawn equipment and tractors. Key duties include grass cutting, planting, cultivating, pruning, and maintaining lawns, ground cover, plants, shrubs, hedges, and trees. The position requires the ability to work independently with initiative and to follow safe work methods and regulations. Effective communication and basic record-keeping skills are also necessary. The role requires a willingness to work outdoors and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Basic principles, equipment, methods, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance activities
- Experience with lawn equipment and tractors
- Leadership ability and initiative to work without close supervision to complete task at hand
- Safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work
- Basic record keeping practices
- Communicating effectively in oral and written forms
- Willing to work outside
- Attention to details
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Leadership and Management experience
- Grounds and landscaping experience
- Maintenance experience
