About The Position

The Maintenance Tech I diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production lines and plant machinery. The role performs scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspecting, oiling, calibrating, and servicing machines to help prevent unexpected breakdowns. It also supports PLCs and basic electrical control panels, maintains building systems, and follows safety procedures. The position documents repairs, tracks work orders, and monitors spare-parts inventory.

Requirements

• Experience with AC/DC circuits, low-voltage systems, and 480V industrial power distribution.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot PLCs, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in repairing hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, motors, pumps, and conveyors.
• Skills in welding, metal fabrication, pipefitting, carpentry, and basic plumbing.
• Maintenance experience with HVAC systems and dust collection.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on production lines and plant machinery.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance by inspecting, oiling, calibrating, and servicing machines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, or program PLCs and basic electrical control panels.
• Maintain building systems, including HVAC units, lighting, boilers, air compressors, and plumbing.
• Follow OSHA guidelines, complete Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Log repairs, track maintenance work orders, and monitor spare-parts inventory.
