About The Position

Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for a variety of property maintenance, cleaning, and repair work on the grounds and buildings of Glacier Peaks Casino along with other properties of Siyeh under the direction and training from the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma (GED) or the equivalent experience
Ability to lift to fifty pounds
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and current auto insurance
Good attitude daily
Ability to be taught and willingness to learn
Ability to be on-call for emergencies
Driver’s License (Required)
Knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws
EXPERIENCE WITH DATA ENTRY AND DATA MANAGEMENT.
Excellent Microsoft Office and Internet skills. Ability to create forms and spreadsheets using tables and formulas.
Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Good interpersonal skills required.
Must be reliable (good attendance and punctuality), organized, flexible, and possess excellent time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy required.
Must possess a high level of integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
Inside and outside work in all types of weather. Medium to heavy work requires prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to a maximum 50 lbs.
Ability to climb and work on ladders, work with arms raised over head, stand/walk for extended periods of time, climb stairs, bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, shovel snow, etc.
Ability to drive to and from job site.

Responsibilities

Perform various duties requiring no experience.
Work as a team participant along with the training from the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the Casino or property meets the quality maintenance standards.
Work closely with the management to maintain clean, safe, and appealing property.
Communicate regularly and professionally with vendors, Management Staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects.
Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from rubbish and debris.
Report concerns maintenance directly with the Manager and performing repairs under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
Maintain a professional courteous manner with all staff, vendors, and fellow employees.
Clearing snow on walkways during the winter as needed including salt spreading.
Perform general grounds including, but not limited to lawn mowing, trash removal, shrubs, and hedge trimming.
Primary work area is at Glacier peaks Casino. Travel is local, within Browning and East Glacier.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
