About The Position

Performs specific cleaning and sanitary standards required for the Recreation Center. Monitors and adjusts heating and cooling systems to maintain comfortable building temperatures. Responsible for floor care, including scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and extracting. Replenishes restroom supplies and performs grounds keeping tasks. Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products, reporting any malfunctions or emergency repairs to the Facilities Manager. Also responsible for reporting property damage or unusual activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• One (1) year experience in maintenance work is desirable.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must be flexible and willing to work hours as specified.
• Mature, responsible person.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific cleaning and sanitary standards required for the Recreation Center.
• Monitors and adjusts heating and cooling systems to keep buildings comfortable.
• Performs floor care by scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and extracting as needed.
• Replenishes restroom supplies as needed.
• Performs grounds keeping tasks.
• Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies/paper products in stockroom.
• Reports any malfunctions or emergency repairs in facilities, i.e., heating/cooling systems and electrical/plumbing fixtures to the Facilities Manager.
• Records and reports immediately to Facilities Manager if property damage has occurred or unusual activities have transpired within and around the buildings and grounds.
• Other duties as assigned.
