About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician 3 at MilliporeSigma, you will be maintaining and installing equipment, facilities, and utility systems. Your role will involve executing preventive maintenance, responding to proactive and reactive work orders, and creating documentation in both physical and virtual formats. This multi-skilled position will complete tasks across various technical fields, ensuring the smooth operation of the site. You will work both independently and safely, ensuring continuity and efficiency in all site operations. This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in an industrial mechanical field
  • Read, comprehend, and follow work instructions, manuals, and procedures
  • Proficient in reading gauges and technical diagrams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Work independently and efficiently
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or technical school training
  • Knowledge of Ohm’s Law
  • Previous experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facility

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and installing equipment, facilities, and utility systems.
  • Executing preventive maintenance.
  • Responding to proactive and reactive work orders.
  • Creating documentation in both physical and virtual formats.
  • Completing tasks across various technical fields.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the site.
  • Working independently and safely.
  • Ensuring continuity and efficiency in all site operations.
  • Participating in on-call rotation during off-hours.
  • Carrying an on-call phone for extended periods.
  • Arriving on-site within 45-60 minutes if called during on-call hours.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving VFD and PLC issues.
  • Troubleshooting, designing, installing, and maintaining electrical power and control circuits up to 480V.
  • Troubleshooting electrical motors.
  • Changing bearings, fittings, regulators, or other piping components.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing heating, air conditioning, and chiller systems.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing ventilation equipment (e.g., air handlers, exhaust systems).
