About The Position

Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the building in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs. This position will consist of directing maintenance employees as they carry out their assigned job duties.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding and mechanical principles

Responsibilities

  • Direct other maintenance employees
  • Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
  • Communicate with shift maintenance supervisors and personnel daily to ensure a smooth transition between shifts
  • Complete a daily shift log and help to maintain electronic work order system
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and repaired in accordance to published and/or posted safety documents, National Safety Code, OSHA standards or to manufactures recommendations.
  • Complete a shift log daily and helping to conduct a daily turnover meeting.
  • Work with Unit leaders in establishing job priorities and make sure they are completed as prioritized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
