About The Position

C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to maintain the buildings and grounds at its dealership locations, keep facilities in top condition, support productive facility use, and follow company guidelines and regulations. The role includes grass cutting, snow removal, operating large vehicles, and transporting dealership vehicles. The team member also assists with routine maintenance across the dealerships and helps other team members complete their tasks and objectives.

Additional duties include inspecting and replacing lighting fixtures and bulbs; performing general maintenance; making minor wall and drywall repairs and painting; addressing minor plumbing issues; maintaining parking lots and signage; clearing storm water grates; painting curbs and parking-lot stripes; filling potholes; and transporting tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles, occasionally using a tow truck. Building and grounds maintenance also includes landscaping and lawn care.

Requirements

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods used in landscaping and lawn maintenance.
• Ability to identify the tools and equipment needed for various jobs.
• Proficiency operating riding and push mowers, power tillers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate large vehicles.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to bend at the waist and knees, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds, and operate light machinery.
• Ability to work subject to environmental conditions and use specialized equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds at dealership locations in top condition.

• Cut grass, perform landscaping, and remove snow.
• Assist with daily routine maintenance across all dealerships.
• Support other team members in completing tasks and objectives.
• Inspect and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Perform general maintenance, minor wall and drywall repairs, and painting.
• Address minor plumbing issues, including faucet washers, clogged toilets, fountains, and irrigation.
• Maintain parking lots and signage; clear storm water grates; paint curbs and parking-lot stripes; and fill potholes.
• Transport tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles as needed, occasionally using a tow truck.
• Operate large vehicles and transport dealership vehicles.
• Perform minor maintenance on grounds-related equipment.
