About The Position

The C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to maintain the buildings and grounds at its dealership locations, support productive use of company facilities, and uphold company standards and regulations. The role includes landscaping and lawn care, grass cutting, snow removal, operating large vehicles, transporting dealership vehicles, and assisting with routine maintenance across dealerships. The team member also supports colleagues with their tasks and objectives.

Additional work includes inspecting and replacing lighting, performing general maintenance, completing minor drywall repairs and painting, addressing minor plumbing issues, and maintaining parking lots and signage. The position may involve clearing storm-water grates, painting curbs and parking-lot stripes, filling potholes, and transporting tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles, sometimes using a tow truck.

Requirements

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods used in landscaping and lawn maintenance.
• Ability to identify the tools and equipment needed for various jobs.
• Proficiency operating riding and push mowers, power tillers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand and power tools.
• Capability to operate large vehicles.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to bend at the waist and knees, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds, and operate light machinery.
• Ability to work in environmental conditions and use specialized equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings and grounds at dealership locations and keep them in top condition.
• Support full and productive use of the company’s facilities and maintain standards set by company guidelines and regulations.
• Perform grass cutting, landscaping, lawn maintenance, and snow removal.
• Assist with daily routine maintenance across all dealerships and support other team members in completing tasks and objectives.
• Inspect and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Perform general maintenance, minor wall and drywall repairs, and painting.
• Address minor plumbing issues, including faucet washers, clogged toilets, fountains, and irrigation.
• Maintain parking lots and signage; clear storm-water grates, paint curbs and parking-lot stripes, and fill potholes.
• Transport tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles as needed, occasionally using a tow truck.
• Perform minor maintenance on grounds-related equipment.
