About The Position

This role is a working leader of a maintenance team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating plant equipment to support production. The position involves supporting and training team personnel in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment to maximize safety, quality, and efficiency, and is responsible for the execution of short and long-range work plans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience
  • Strong knowledge of assembly equipment to include: Fanuc Robots, Control Logix, Technifor Engravers, and Nordson Sealer systems.
  • Thorough understanding of the assembly process.
  • Solid equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to weld, machine and fabricate utilizing CAD or hand drawings.
  • Ability to take detailed instructions and implement quality procedures
  • Excellent people, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so other will understand.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive in preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Lead personnel in all aspects of the job.
  • Help develop a qualified maintenance team by effectively developing personnel through formal and on the job training.
  • Maintain situational awareness of plant activities pertaining to safety, quality and production.
  • Effectively follow up on open issues and communicating to Group Leader(s) and Managers, of any open issues not resolved during the assigned shift.
  • Cover production; perform equipment repairs, assigned work orders, and preventative maintenance, to maximize plant efficiency.
  • Assist management in maintaining and improving all maintenance processes through continuous improvement; ensuring these processes are documented by the team, as required by company and departmental policies.
  • Leader of 5S principles.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management.
  • Communicate any/all issues with equipment that needs to be addressed on weekend or other designated downtime of equipment.
