About The Position

The Maintenance Team Lead supervises daily maintenance activities across facility systems and rolling stock equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership to coordinate tasks, maintain equipment reliability, and support production needs. Success requires strong mechanical knowledge, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Salary range (insert amount here). Based on location and experience. Requirements

Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and facility systems.
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Experience with welding and basic fabrication techniques.
Understanding of small engine maintenance and repair.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work outdoors and maintain reliable attendance.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in industrial maintenance or electromechanics preferred.
Trade certifications (Journeyman, Millwright, boiler, DOT/AC) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily work assignments for maintenance team members.
Provide hands-on guidance to ensure productivity and quality of completed tasks.
Coordinate schedules and priorities in partnership with the maintenance planner.
Enter and manage work orders within the maintenance system.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion.
Address employee concerns and resolve basic issues, escalating as needed.
Verify proper documentation for parts requests and completed work orders.
Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment, including rolling stock and plant systems.
Conduct preventative maintenance on building infrastructure such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and boilers.
Ensure all systems and equipment are properly tested before returning to operation.
Promote safety, enforce standards, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
