At the West Hershey Plant, the Maintenance Team Lead coordinates the daily work of skilled technical specialists who maintain, repair, calibrate, and support manufacturing equipment. This hands-on leader helps keep operations safe and reliable by aligning maintenance priorities with production needs, guiding routine troubleshooting, and communicating risks and resource needs across maintenance, operations, and engineering. n and uninterrupted workflow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating skilled-trades work, schedules, troubleshooting, or equipment support is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS tools such as SAP PM, preventive maintenance practices, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to apply root cause analysis, Lean or continuous improvement methods, and sound problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including shift and overtime coverage as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Asset Reliability, Engineering, a technology-related field, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily work, set priorities, and ensure technicians have the tools, materials, instructions, and time needed to complete quality work safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and participate in routine maintenance, equipment repair, checks, and calibration while reinforcing established safety, food quality, GMP, and technical procedures.
  • Prepare and adjust daily schedules based on production needs, technical priorities, staffing, and changing shift conditions.
  • Guide troubleshooting of routine and moderately complex equipment or process issues, use available data and known methods to recommend corrective action, and escalate broader or unresolved issues through established channels.
  • Monitor work execution and CMMS information for accuracy and completeness; support preventive maintenance, equipment documentation, backlog management, and asset reliability practices.
  • Provide clear updates on work completion, emerging risks, and resource needs to maintenance, operations, and engineering partners; support technician coaching and skills development.
