About The Position

Quality Packaging Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Support Technician to help keep production equipment and facilities operating smoothly. The role is based primarily on the production floor in a moderately noisy environment and involves urgent equipment repairs, scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment safety checks, facility repairs, equipment setup and retooling, parts-room organization, and processing internal repair orders. The position supports production by reducing downtime and disruptions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional work outside standard hours may be required to meet customer needs; nights and weekends are not part of the regular schedule. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing service environment.
Self-starter mentality and ability to identify and address problems independently.
Solid mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for most of the shift.
Good close and color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Perform urgent on-the-spot repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Verify that safety switches function and ensure pinch points and other hazards are clearly marked.
Complete building repairs, including repairs to doorknobs and door closures.
Retool and set up equipment as needed to support production demands.
Keep the parts room clean and organized.
Process internal repair orders for accountability and tracking.
Help minimize downtime and maximize production output.
