Maintenance Supervisor (Lease Up)
About The Position
The Neighborhood Service Manager is responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property. This role involves establishing positive, productive relationships with the Neighborhood staff, including hiring, training, and mentoring. The Neighborhood Service Manager is also responsible for managing the budget through cost-effective maintenance functions, overseeing ongoing safety training, capital projects, vendor and contractor management, and inventory maintenance. Additionally, this role requires upholding company policies and serving as an example of compliance with rules and regulations for safe and effective property operation.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience and/or training in apartment maintenance.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, Neighbors, and the general public.
- Availability to help when needed and be on-call.
- A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Minimum of three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses, such as: BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local governing laws.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

- Resolve problems and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood.
- Responsible for the budget through cost-effective management of maintenance functions.
- In charge of on-going safety training, capital projects, managing vendors and contractors, and maintaining inventory.
- Uphold company policies and serve as an example of compliance with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Neighborhood.
