About The Position

As a Supervisor I, Maintenance, you will lead maintenance operations to support safe, efficient, and reliable production processes. You will maintain a safe and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role is responsible for supporting equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and leading maintenance team members in daily operations. You will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support equipment performance, preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. You will provide coaching, accountability, and ongoing feedback to employees while promoting a positive and engaged team environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 6+ years of maintenance or equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 to 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
  • Understanding of industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and repair processes
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to coach, develop, and lead employees effectively
  • Critical thinking and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of building, facility, and production equipment maintenance
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
  • 2 to 5+ years of skilled trades experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance operations and assign tasks to Crew Leads and technicians to support production requirements
  • Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance KPIs to achieve operational targets
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance activities are completed effectively and on schedule
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, escalations, and vendor support as needed
  • Monitor spare parts and maintenance inventory to support equipment uptime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and documentation
  • Manage employee attendance, performance, accountability, and work discipline
  • Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members to support operational success and future growth opportunities
  • Promote employee engagement and support conflict resolution when needed
  • Communicate production updates, equipment issues, policy changes, and company information to employees
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Safety, Engineering, and other support teams to achieve department goals
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and maintain compliance with company safety standards and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
