About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for executing the preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff. This role involves participating in plant safety inspections, overseeing repairs of breakdowns and preventative maintenance, working with outside contractors, directing maintenance of equipment, and maintaining responsibility for the maintenance of the building and critical infrastructure. The position requires a leader who understands and anticipates business needs, supports their team through guidance and development, coordinates effectively with peers, and influences others to achieve goals. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess strong communication and relationship skills, take ownership of performance, and excel at troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include supervising an effective team, providing feedback, ensuring EHS compliance, reviewing operational reports to minimize costs and delays, inspecting machinery, and promoting EHS and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience supervising maintenance/skilled trades teams.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

  • Includes planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals as appropriate, managing staffing levels (including vacations, overtime, and leaves of absences), assisting with career development (motivates, coaches, and trains to acquire maximum quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation), approving time and attendance, and prioritizing and making work assignments.
  • Provides effective feedback to employees, both positive and negative.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation for all disciplinary actions taken.
  • Directs training and orientation of employees to ensure EHS rules are known and understood, to improve work performance, and acquaint employees with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operations, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
  • Promotes EHS and continuous improvement initiatives and culture.
  • Identify and develop maintenance team talent, including conducting routine performance reviews.
  • Develop a specific maintenance strategy using OEM and equipment historical knowledge.
  • Deliver Key Performance Metrics including but not limited to on time PM execution.
