About The Position

Weinstein Properties, a family-owned company with over 70 years of experience, is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor for the Atlanta, GA area. The company owns and manages over 60 apartment communities across multiple states and emphasizes a hands-on approach to operations and customer experience. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings, while also contributing to the overall maintenance duties. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a service team in diagnosing and repairing issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, structural, and appliances. This is a hands-on position where effective performance directly impacts rental income and occupancy rates through professional maintenance practices, quality control, and adherence to company policies. The service team's customer-centric approach significantly influences the experience of visitors, prospects, and residents. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of trade-related experience.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on apartment maintenance lead, assistant, or supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
  • EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
  • Computer skills: ability to use business software for work order management, scheduling, supply ordering, and email communication.
  • Willingness to share on-call duties with other team members.
  • Valid driver's license, transportation, and tools required.
  • Must pass a DMV and background/criminal check.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating activities of a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of grounds and buildings.
  • Working as part of the team to complete all maintenance duties.
  • Diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, structural, and appliances.
  • Assisting in scheduling and supervising all in-house and/or vendor work.
  • Sharing on-call duties with other team members.
  • Maximizing rents and maintaining high occupancy levels through professional maintenance practices, quality control, and adherence to policies/procedures.
  • Providing a customer service-driven experience for residents and prospects.
