About The Position

Lindy Communities is a family-owned professional management company seeking a highly qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor. This role involves managing and supervising the maintenance staff, maintaining the physical condition of the property, and managing relationships with suppliers and vendors. The Maintenance Supervisor will direct all activities of the Maintenance Department and, as part of the team, perform work orders, be on-call, handle make-ready tasks, and lead the team. The ideal candidate will live within 30 minutes of the property, own reliable transportation, possess a valid PA driver's license, and own their own tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • An eye for detail
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma; Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
  • Live within 30 minutes of the property
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Have a valid PA driver's license
  • Own your own tools
  • Strong trouble shooting skills
  • Maintenance and repair tasks including, plumbing, electrical and light carpentry work.

  • Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising the Maintenance Team
  • Preparing vacant rental units for occupancy.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds.
  • Snow removal.
  • Must be available to work on an on-call basis.
