About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the residential facility for the residents. The Maintenance Supervisor will ensure the entire facility is in good working order and is maintained in accordance with company standards and expectations. This role requires intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, and word processing. The Maintenance Supervisor will also assist with the direction and management of the maintenance team within assigned facility(s) and works regularly with confidential information such as medical records, financial reports, and information on computer screens.

Requirements

  • Successfully complete &/or comply with all required background checks to include but not limited to: Ohio BCI&I fingerprint analysis, FBI (if applicable) fingerprint analysis, Nurse Aide Registry, HHS/OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) & Ohio Medicaid Provider Exclusion and Suspension List.
  • Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity and word processing.
  • Assist with the direction and management of the maintenance team within assigned facility(s).
  • Works regularly with some information such as medical records or reports, financial reports, information on computer screens or other electronic devices, and records that are restricted to specific persons. Must comply with confidentiality policy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure entire facility is in good working order and is maintained in accordance with company standards and expectations of the administrator.
  • Ensure timely response and resolution to all maintenance concerns for the facility.
  • Attend in-service training programs for maintenance employees.
  • Dispense maintenance equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner.
  • Identify, report to administration and schedule repair of areas in poor repair.
  • Supervise and ensure proper care and use of maintenance equipment.
  • Identify, report to administration and schedule repair of any equipment malfunction.
  • Supervise and ensure completion of all maintenance procedures in accordance with facility policy.
  • Organize and maintain all records necessary to operate the maintenance department.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all areas of the facility.
  • Interview and hire appropriate individuals to implement maintenance schedules.
  • Orient new employees to maintenance duties.
  • Assist in maintaining the facility MSDS data sheets for all chemicals utilized within the facility.
  • Observe infection control procedures.
  • Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines.
  • Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
  • Adhere to all facility policies & procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all responsible parties and carry out disciplinary action for non-compliance as appropriate.
  • Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and the Performance Expectations at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator and/or person of authority.
