About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for compiling reports and statistics related to key performance measures for the maintenance department, planning maintenance projects, and leading EHS initiatives under the direction of the facility Maintenance Manager. This role also manages the maintenance budget, utilizes systems like KIWI and SAP for tracking performance measures, and oversees the work order system. The supervisor conducts weekly meetings to plan and prioritize projects, schedules personnel and contractors, manages project budgets, and ensures necessary parts are available. They also work with the Maintenance Manager to schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities and lead EHS initiatives such as air permitting, storm water compliance, HAZMAT, and various inspections. Additionally, the role is responsible for inventory/parts management of the facility's storeroom, developing kitting processes, managing the Machine Champion Process, and assisting with capital projects. The Maintenance Supervisor may fill in for the Maintenance Manager and could be assigned direct supervisory responsibility for a shift or team of maintenance technicians, requiring flexibility to work late nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Solid Computer/System skill set is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience and/or demonstrated situational leadership skills is required.
  • Prior mechanical, electrical and/or maintenance troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively is required.
  • Willingness to work on Off shift as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience utilizing SAP, KIWI and/or ePAD is highly preferred.
  • Corrugated experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with predictive/preventative maintenance programs, inventory and capital project planning is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compile reports and statistics related to key performance measures for the maintenance department.
  • Plan maintenance projects, including scheduling personnel and contractors, maintaining project budgets, and ensuring parts availability.
  • Lead Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives related to maintenance and environmental compliance.
  • Manage the maintenance budget for the facility, including running and reviewing SAP reports and maintaining a spreadsheet of YTD expenditures.
  • Utilize systems, including KIWI and SAP, to track maintenance key performance measures.
  • Manage the work order system and track work orders through completion.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance priority meetings with the maintenance and production leadership team.
  • Schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities.
  • Manage the inventory/parts management of the facility’s storeroom.
  • Work with Maintenance Manager and machine champions to develop kitting processes.
  • Manage the Machine Champion Process, including monthly reviews and machine center metrics.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in the development and management of capital projects in the ePAD system.
  • Fill in for maintenance manager as needed and may be assigned direct supervisory responsibility for a shift or team of maintenance hourly technicians.
