About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor leads, plans, and oversees all maintenance activities at the cogeneration peaker plants, ensuring the reliability, availability, and integrity of all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. This role is responsible for managing the maintenance team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is desired; equivalent experience with a relevant trade certification will be considered.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in power plant maintenance or heavy industry maintenance, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial role; gas turbine experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, SAP administration, budget management, and outage planning; strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems in power generation environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP platforms.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and respond to plant emergencies as required.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture across the maintenance team, ensuring full compliance with ContourGlobal’s Health & Safety Management System and all applicable regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations, safety inspections, and effectiveness reviews; ensure all incidents and near-misses are reported, analyzed, and followed up with corrective actions.
  • Ensure all maintenance personnel use required personal protective equipment and follow safe work permit procedures for all tasks.
  • Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate maintenance technicians, mechanics, and contractors; set clear performance expectations and support professional development.
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing coverage for all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with ContourGlobal’s 3Cs: Communication, Collaboration, and Coordination.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the plant’s preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, and I&C systems using the SAP.
  • Plan and manage major outages, overhauls, and capital maintenance projects, coordinating with operations, engineering, and external contractors to meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures, applying Five Whys and other failure analysis methodologies to drive lasting corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget; track expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide regular reporting to the Plant Manager.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory management to maximize plant reliability; direct physical inventory counts and ensure procurement of critical spares in alignment with operational needs.
