About The Position

This position is located in our Plant 10, Whitehall Casting Operation. Responsibilities will include execution of preventative maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff; participate in plant safety inspections; oversee repairs of breakdowns; oversee preventative maintenance; work with outside contractors; coordinate office moves and rearrangements; direct maintenance of equipment; maintain responsibility for maintenance of building. The role involves supervising an effective team, including planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, managing staffing levels, assisting with career development, approving time and attendance, and prioritizing work assignments. It also includes providing effective feedback, maintaining documentation for disciplinary actions, directing training and orientation, ensuring compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, interfacing between management and union officials, handling grievances, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The supervisor will schedule production and work teams, review reports to resolve problems, inspect machines and equipment, and promote EHS and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience supervising maintenance/skilled trades teams
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
  • Must be able to read blueprints

  • Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg, and Kaizen Concepts.
