About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates maintenance department activities, functions and staff in a long term care facility. Supervises staff in maintaining, servicing and operating all facility equipment, fixtures, grounds and ensures overall working condition and appearance of building grounds and facilities.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of commercial building equipment, operations.
• Ability to trouble shoot electric, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing infrastructure.
• Ability to use computer systems and programs, MS Excel, Word etc.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates maintenance department activities, functions and staff.
• Supervises staff in maintaining, servicing and operating all facility equipment, fixtures, grounds.
• Ensures overall working condition and appearance of building grounds and facilities.
• Responsible for the day to day supervision, planning and organizing the work.
• Provide detailed instructions and direction to staff both verbal and in writing.
• Interpret and understand complex issues and problems.
