About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor supports the Maintenance Chief in overseeing all maintenance operations. This role involves assisting in the oversight of daily maintenance activities for various areas of the hotel, performing complex repairs, responding to emergencies, and conducting inspections. The supervisor also plays a key role in leading and training maintenance staff, acting as the Maintenance Chief in their absence, and ensuring a positive team culture. Additionally, the position supports preventive maintenance programs, asset care, safety compliance, and administrative tasks such as vendor coordination and inventory management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hotel or facilities maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, kitchen equipment & landscaping
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, and evenings a must

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily maintenance activities for guest rooms, public areas, back-of house spaces and exterior.
  • Perform and oversee complex repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and life and safety systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and urgent guest impacting issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Assist with supervising maintenance staff, including assigning work orders and reviewing completed tasks.
  • Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to maintenance team members.
  • Step in as acting Maintenance Chief during absences or off hours of coverage.
  • Promote a positive service-oriented team culture aligned with hotel standards.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment logs and maintenance logs.
  • Assist in planning seasonal maintenance and minor capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire/life-safety codes, and brand standards.
  • Support safety inspections and corrective actions.
  • Maintain guest-first awareness when working in occupied areas.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
  • Monitor tools, parts and supply inventory.
  • Communicate clearly with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Management.
