About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and supervising designated maintenance associates, performing general maintenance duties, routine inspections and repairing faulty equipment or damaged structures. The associate will work independently or in a team under little to no supervision. This position relies on good judgment to perform the functions of the job. The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented, thorough, and professional individual who consistently provides exemplary customer service to guests, owners, management, and associates. This role requires knowledge in all phases of building maintenance including paint, texture, drywall repair, appliance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Experience in the hospitality industry, specifically timeshare, is preferred. The candidate must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be able to pass applicable auditions, skill testing, background checks, physical examinations, and drug screenings. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a previous management/supervisor role in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, or construction industry.
  • Required CPO (certified pool operator).
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge in all phases of building maintenance including paint, texture, drywall repair, appliance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
  • Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing, background check, physical examination and drug screening test.
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must also be able to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Clear vision (close, distant and depth perception) is needed for navigating office and all other buildings within the resort.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry (time share preferred).
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and supervising designated maintenance associates.
  • Performing general maintenance duties.
  • Conducting routine inspections.
  • Repairing faulty equipment or damaged structures.
  • Maintaining and updating the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Making recommendations to the Maintenance Manager/Facilities Director/Assistant Director for improvement projects.
  • Conducting various inspections including safety inspections, rain leaks, and moisture detection.
  • Submitting necessary reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Regularly interacting with management, guests, employees, and executive management from the corporate office.
  • Conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Adhering to performance standards, company policies, and procedures as they relate to the department.
  • Providing guidance and executing procedures.
  • Supervising with a "hands-on" attitude, motivating, and disciplining employees as needed.
  • Departmental long and short-term planning.
  • Organizing inventory and related documentation.
