About The Position

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor at Brent Place Apartments in Alexandria, VA. This is a fast-growing property management company with a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus. The position offers the opportunity for on-site living with a significant rent reduction, though income qualification may apply. Requirements

• 3+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with apartment maintenance; appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting.
• Must be able to understand and oversee work performed by contractors.
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work and respond to on-call emergencies.
• The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly.
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is desired.
• Experience with split system HVAC units is highly desired.
• HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus.
• HVAC/CFC Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance.
• Assist with unit turnovers.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
• Oversee work performed by contractors.
