About The Position

Peak Living is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Lakeside Townhomes. The role maintains the property in high-quality condition, provides excellent customer service, supervises preparation of move-ins, and operates within the approved budget. The Maintenance Supervisor also assists the Community Manager with staffing and employee development, schedules and oversees maintenance work, and helps ensure that the property and work environment are safe and well maintained. Typical hours depend on community needs and may include weekends and after-hours emergency services.

Requirements

Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks.
Leadership skills and ability to deal effectively with customers and residents.
Basic knowledge of HVAC.
Must become CFC certified within 90 days of employment.
One year of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor with a professional management firm, or six months as an assistant with Peak Living.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

Assist the Community Manager with hiring, inspecting, counseling, promoting, and, if needed, terminating employees, with staffing levels directed by the Regional Manager.
Teach skills to staff members and schedule work.
Maintain a safe working environment and keep staff informed about safe working conditions, OSHA guidelines, and Peak Living safety bulletins.
Ensure common areas are safe, in good repair, and clean.
Perform preventive maintenance for pools, parking lots, building exteriors, and other areas.
Make capital improvement recommendations.
Respond to all service requests within 24 hours.
Visit competing properties and inspect maintenance quality.
Order parts as needed to repair the community.
Supervise preparation of move-ins and operate within the approved budget.
