About The Position

Lead the maintenance team and external maintenance providers in the safe, pro-active and cost-efficient operation of the manufacturing facility. Support Maintenance in performing tasks in a timely manner to support the efficient operations of the production process and maintain records to document processes and corrective action.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical engineering technology or mechanical engineering
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in an industrial/automotive maintenance manufacturing required
  • 5 years maintenance experience industrial/automotive manufacturing (including experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical) required
  • All employees are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable policies, procedures, and internal controls; executing assigned control activities; maintaining appropriate supporting evidence; and promptly reporting any identified deviation, risk, or control deficiency to the direct leader.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees assigned to the Maintenance Department in the maintenance repair, replacement, and installation of industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Identifying improvement projects and equipment obsolescence.
  • Planning and scheduling of the maintenance programs.
  • Plan and delegate maintenance tasks based on priority of work, available staffing, and skill set according to the MMS Standard and CMMS.
  • Prepare work folders for scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns.
  • Prepare final reports for shutdowns.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance system by continual review and optimization.
  • Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices.
  • Embrace the Metalsa Culture and lead by example.
  • Support the implementation of the MMS Standards.
  • Must be able to plan and delegate maintenance tasks and coordinate maintenance activity with production schedules, external suppliers and contractors.
  • Coordinate outside contractor projects.
  • Train Maintenance Techs how to use the CMMS system.
  • Develop an individual development plan and a training plan for all personnel who reports to him.
  • Provide shop floor support for production, by managing abnormalities and ensuring the execution of planned maintenance tasks.
  • Attend the third scaling process of maintenance.
  • Ensure necessary tools, materials, and equipment are available for maintenance projects, as well as collaborating in projects to ensure maintenance needs are met.
  • Conduct/coordinate technical and administrative training for members of the Maintenance Department.
  • Encourage professional development among the members of the team.
  • Complete administrative paperwork required of performance evaluation process and progressive discipline process.
  • Responsible for obtaining and calculating Section MMS KPIs.
  • Conduct studies (KPI Analysis) to help improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase throughput.
  • Maintain, track, order critical parts and spare parts for optimum plant performance.
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely acquisition of maintenance parts by managing parts inventory through MOS standard process.
  • Manage maintenance budget and conduct cost analysis in conjunction with the MOS Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator.
