About The Position

Peak Living is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to maintain the apartment-home property in high-quality condition, provide excellent customer service, supervise move-in preparation, and operate within the approved budget. The role works with the Community Manager and staff to coordinate maintenance and staffing, maintain safe and clean common areas, and ensure community repairs and preventive maintenance are completed. Typical hours depend on community needs and may include weekends and after-hours emergency services.

Requirements

Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks.
Leadership skills and ability to deal effectively with customers and residents.
Basic knowledge of HVAC.
Obtain CFC certification within 90 days of employment.
One year as a Maintenance Supervisor with a professional management firm, or three years as a Maintenance Technician.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assist the Community Manager with hiring, inspecting, counseling, promoting, and, if needed, terminating employees, while maintaining staffing levels as directed by the Regional Manager.
Teach skills to staff members and schedule work.
Maintain a safe working environment and continually educate staff on safe working conditions, OSHA guidelines, and Peak Living safety guidance.
Ensure common areas are safe, in good repair, and clean.
Perform preventive maintenance for pools, parking lots, building exteriors, and other areas.
Make capital improvement recommendations.
Respond to all service requests within 24 hours.
Visit competing properties and inspect maintenance quality.
Order parts as needed to repair the community.
