About The Position

At DNOW, the Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the facility and its equipment. This role involves coordinating with maintenance technicians and 3rd party contractors to ensure operations run at full capacity. The supervisor will manage routine maintenance and repairs for the facility, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment, both inside and outside the premises. They are also tasked with reviewing and updating existing maintenance plans, developing new ones as needed, and coordinating schedules to prevent operational impact. Effective communication with management and other supervisors regarding repair and maintenance activities is crucial. The role also includes managing vendor relationships, pricing agreements, and identifying process improvements for efficiency. Additionally, the supervisor will inspect buildings for malfunctions, perform minor electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and masonry work, and reconfigure office spaces.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ working experience in facility maintenance
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the routine maintenance and repair of the facility, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment located within and outside the facility
  • Review and keep up maintenance plans currently in place and provide necessary updates to said plans, provide additional maintenance plans when needed
  • Coordinate maintenance technician schedules to ensure equipment is operational and not impacting operational efficiency
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities with production supervisor team and production manager
  • Effectively communicate with management team and other supervisors when repair and maintenance are being evaluated and completed
  • Coordinate with 3rd party contractors scheduling, pricing, and job completion
  • Identify and recommend improvements in the maintenance and repair processes and tools used, enhancing efficiency
  • Develop/maintain relationships and pricing agreements with vendors; manage existing expectations with vendors
  • Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations using a pre‐established check sheet
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to HVAC maintenance, replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.)
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
  • Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks
  • Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.)
  • Other duties, as assigned
