About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor represents an opportunity for a current employee working in the Department of Transportation to supervise and monitor work for District 4 Operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for: performance management and evaluations, conflict resolution (including making recommendations for proper or corrective action), ordering materials and supplies, and preparing reports and summaries.

Requirements

• Current St. Louis County merit employees working in the Department of Transportation and Public Works.
• Equivalent to six years of experience in general maintenance in the identified area of specialization, including two years of supervisory or lead experience.
• Possession of a valid Drivers License.
• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative tasks associated with the supervision of worksites, projects and staff.
• Repair and replace asphalt roadways and surfaces.
• Maintain, repair or install concrete structures or surfaces.
• Provide care and propagation for trees, shrubs, turf and plants.
• Remove snow and ice.
• Care for and clean designated indoor and outdoor areas.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
