About The Position

JLL seeks an experienced 2nd Shift Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple disciplines. This role supervises maintenance mechanics, coordinates work activities, ensures compliance with engineering standards, and maintains high-quality facility operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years facility/plant engineering maintenance experience
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • Experience managing represented (union) employees
  • Cross-functional collaboration across all site annexes
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, fluid handling/pumping, mechanical systems, carpentry, welding, and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of current facility code requirements and standards
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and hand tools
  • Skill level in operating tools/equipment typically acquired through trade or vocational training
  • Proficiency in MS Office and email systems
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in facilities management or related field
  • 7+ years facility maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or regulated environments
  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) familiarity
  • Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Relevant trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Preventative maintenance program implementation experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanics responding to maintenance issues across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, landscape services, and building systems
  • Organize and direct daily facilities maintenance operations and projects
  • Collaborate with Facilities Manager to establish work schedules, assignments, and material procurement
  • Coordinate daily work activities for technicians, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Partner with global organization on Engineering Compliance requirements and conduct field checks
  • Orient, train, and develop employees; establish performance standards and conduct evaluations
  • Develop cost estimates for maintenance work orders, preventative maintenance, and construction projects
  • Establish and maintain facilities maintenance department budget
  • Interact with stakeholders to coordinate work and communicate project details
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
