As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will coordinate a skilled team of maintenance technicians in ensuring optimal performance of critical manufacturing equipment. You will promote excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams, you'll contribute to maximizing equipment uptime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high manufacturing standards. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence as we fulfill our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
  • Proficiency in safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and arc flash prevention
  • Experience with TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Effective leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, and support team members
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling maintenance activities
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management software

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications in maintenance, electrical systems, or HVAC beneficial
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries

Responsibilities
