Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Three (3) years of experience in maintenance and reliability
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with demonstrated success leading maintenance teams.
  • Strong industrial maintenance background, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • PLC experience required, with the ability to diagnose issues and support troubleshooting efforts
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including arc flash awareness and electrical safety principles
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop employees while holding team members accountable

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor strongly preferred
  • Experience managing teams of 15-20+ employees preferred
  • PLC programming or code-editing experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with hydraulics, welding, and automated manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Experience with maintenance management or plant production software systems
  • Experience supporting a startup, greenfield, facility launch, major expansion, or production ramp-up
  • Proven ability to create structure and lead effectively in environments where processes are still evolving
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent conflict management, communication, and coaching abilities
  • Patience, active listening skills, and a balanced leadership style that combines accountability with employee development
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team that will grow to approximately 30 employees
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical support in a role that is approximately 50% leadership and 50% shop-floor engagement
  • Coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
  • Support troubleshooting efforts involving PLCs, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, hydraulics, and other industrial systems
  • Prioritize maintenance work while balancing production demands, contractor activities, training initiatives, and operational goals
  • Analyze maintenance KPIs, work orders, and downtime trends to drive improvement efforts
  • Partner with production, engineering, contractors, and support teams to achieve business objectives
  • Help develop and refine maintenance processes, standards, and best practices in a growing environment
  • Navigate employee relations issues, provide coaching, and lead difficult conversations with professionalism and respect
