About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor TSDF is responsible for performing physical work and overseeing 3rd party vendors for some of the maintenance and operation of buildings, equipment, and grounds of the company's facility(s). They coordinate and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs, inspect the grounds, enforce safety measures, and supervise a team of maintenance and facilities personnel. They are responsible for ensuring a safe and effective work environment. This may require enforcing new policies, ensuring the proper use of equipment and reporting accidents.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 Years of relevant work experience.
  • Maintenance and facilities experience.
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and develops a team of professionals to assist in their development and attainment of necessary skills to lift performance.
  • Monitors staff performance and drives performance improvement initiatives and ensures that service levels meet or exceed agreed upon standards.
  • Oversees the daily operation of the facility's mobile and fixed-base equipment and systems and inspects the premises regularly.
  • Evaluate existing systems and structures and identify any technical or structural issues.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with outside contractors, involved in negotiating service agreements with qualified 3rd party vendors.
  • Enforces safety rules and procedures, oversees ongoing training of maintenance staff, and reports and records any emergencies.
  • Inspects facilities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintains accurate facility records and prepares reports for management.
  • Maintains complete inventory of equipment; develops, implements, and monitors preventative maintenance schedules to ensure maximum longevity of equipment; and determines replacement, repair, and maintenance needs.
  • Participates directly in emergency response operations related to activities conducted at the facility's site and transportation activities, both on-site and off-site, involving the facility's equipment and personnel.
  • Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary.
