About the role: We are looking for a Field Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance crews and coordinate shift activities safely, efficiently, and in a cost‑effective manner at Kennecott Copper. Reporting to the Superintendent, Field Maintenance, and working a 4 days on / 4 days off / 4 nights rotating shift roster, you will lead and support maintenance trades to deliver planned maintenance, breakdown repair, and asset reliability outcomes across the operation. Working closely with production, planning, and maintenance stakeholders, you will ensure work is executed safely, within scope, and aligned to maintenance and asset management standards.

Requirements

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Proven experience in maintenance or operations within an industrial electrical and mechanical environment
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience maintaining and supervising work on medium and high voltage electrical systems (4.16 kV and above)
  • Strong knowledge of safe electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance strategies
  • Ability to manage people, resolve on-the-job issues, and lead during breakdowns and shutdowns
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; (electrical trade qualification strongly preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in mining or heavy industrial operations
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, including Excel

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of maintenance trades to deliver safe, reliable outcomes
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with site procedures, statutory requirements, and safe work practices
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee execution of planned, shutdown, and breakdown maintenance activities
  • Prioritize and allocate resources based on work urgency, equipment availability, and workforce capacity
  • Partner with maintenance planners to ensure job scope alignment and provide feedback on completed, deferred, or rescheduled work
  • Apply asset management principles to optimize equipment performance, lifecycle outcomes, and risk mitigation
  • Investigate and resolve maintenance and operational issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability
  • Drive clear communication, accurate system reporting, and continuous improvement in maintenance productivity, quality, and service
