The Electrical/Carpenter Supervisor supervises and performs highly advanced supervisory maintenance and construction work. This position supervises and trains full-time employees that are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of low-voltage electrical equipment, circuits, and construction at the facility. Work involves coordinating the installation, replacement, and maintenance of low voltage electrical systems, apparatus, component of machinery, equipment, and all carpentry related work. Assigns tasks and checks work in progress and inspects and reviews completed work. Responsible for ordering low voltage electrical, carpentry material, and parts, interviewing prospective employees, and evaluating employees in the Carpentry Department. Stands emergency maintenance call as needed. Works under minimal supervision of the Assistant Plant Maintenance Manager and Plant Maintenance Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
