About The Position

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of campus electrical systems within an industrial facility environment. This position combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing the maintenance, testing, and repair of large-scale electrical systems, motors, and control equipment. You'll apply your knowledge of industry standards, local electrical and building codes, and engineering specifications to maintain critical infrastructure while leading emergency response efforts and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role is essential to JLL's commitment to operational excellence and client satisfaction in facility management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience with demonstrated management capabilities
  • NFPA Certification (current and valid)
  • Proficiency in using electrical and handheld diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance tools
  • Working knowledge of all current facility code requirements, standards, and building systems
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
  • Availability for on-call emergency response with physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., work at elevation from ladders/scaffolding/lifts, and operate in confined spaces

  • Technical College or Trade Program completion
  • Journeyman Electrician license
  • Experience with electrical systems in an industrial facilities environment
  • Familiarity with specialized computer software systems used in facility management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate technical information
  • Experience connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other complex electrical components

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures throughout the campus facility using hand tools and power tools
  • Maintain and repair large motors, equipment, and control systems in campus factory areas, diagnosing malfunctions and implementing corrective actions
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using diagnostic equipment (ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes) to ensure system safety and functionality
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs while ensuring compliance with building codes
  • Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine wiring, fixture, and equipment locations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (EPA/OSHA), safety programs, and audit standards across all maintenance activities
  • Provide emergency response support and implement comprehensive emergency procedures as needed
