About The Position

The primary duty of the Maintenance Supervisor I is to ensure efficient and effective department operations as well as ensure the highest physical quality of the property. The Maintenance Supervisor I will coordinate work schedules and monitor daily staff performance; maintain oversight of expense controls and risk management; and manage repairs as well as preventative maintenance in vacant apartments, resident apartments and common areas. The Maintenance Supervisor I ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as all established policies. The work is performed in a variety of environments under the overall direction of the Capital Maintenance Officer. The Maintenance Supervisor I will oversee two multifamily apartment locations. This is a full-time, on-call, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm benefits-eligible position in Clearwater, Florida.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or GED certificate
Minimum of three years of experience in various trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, appliances and electrical maintenance and repair
Knowledge of safety, fire prevention and first aid techniques
Measurement and mathematical calculation ability
Ability to work in a variety of conditions and locations including confined areas, rooftops, underground spaces, etc.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Valid Florida Driver's License
HVAC experience
EPA certification
Pre-employment testing
Comprehensive background and reference checks
Drug and alcohol screen
