About The Position

AAMCI is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a 100-unit Section 8 and LIHTC Tax Credit community in Mechanicsville, VA. This is an elderly community. Full time position Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm Pay $28.00 per hour, On call premium. The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive. This position participates in on-call emergency for evening, weekends, and Holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out. AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.

Requirements

  • HVAC/EPA Certified required
  • Driver's License required
  • At least 3 years of supervising experience
  • Ability to adhere to work safety program
  • Ability to perform all duties including but not limited to lifting, climbing, standing, bending, loading, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical problems
  • Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components
  • Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drill, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Complete work orders
  • Order parts as necessary
  • Recording type and cost of repair work
