About The Position

Rusk County Maintenance department is currently seeking two (2) summer-help limited term employees. This position will be approximately 600 hours starting at the end of May / beginning of June and lasting through August. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to basic building and grounds maintenance activities such as lawn mowing, weed trimming, cutting trees and brush, cleaning, painting, raking, and hand shoveling materials. Must be 16+ and hold a valid driver's license.

Requirements

  • Must be 16+ and hold a valid driver's license
  • Experience operating a riding lawn mower
  • Basic knowledge of operating a push mower
  • Basic knowledge of lawn care techniques
  • Ability to operate a pickup truck (standard transmission)
  • Ability to empty trash cans and weights up to 60 lbs
  • Basic knowledge of mower care and maintenance
  • Ability to deal with public on work matters
  • Possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 16 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to those whose who have graduated high school, but those still pursuing a high school degree will be considered.
