About The Position

Matrix Composites & Engineering is seeking an experienced Maintenance Stores Officer to join their Maintenance team at their Henderson, WA facility. This role is responsible for purchasing, receiving, and managing maintenance store items, ensuring accurate stock records, and providing administrative support to the Maintenance function. The company specializes in composite and advanced material technology solutions for industries including Oil & Gas, Mining & Defence, and also offers industrial coatings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehousing and/or procurement role
  • A valid driver's licence
  • A forklift (LF) licence or a willingness to obtain one
  • Sound numeracy skills and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • The aptitude and willingness to learn and develop within the role
  • Strong organisational skills and process discipline, with the ability to manage stock systems effectively
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers, tradespeople and management
  • A safety-conscious approach, with the ability to work within WHS procedures in a store/manufacturing environment
  • Must be a permanent Australian resident, or hold the relevant Visa with the authority to work in Australia.
  • Must be physically fit to perform in the role.

  • Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience with stock control, inventory or ERP systems
  • A Certificate II/III in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar

Responsibilities

  • Purchasing spares, plant, equipment, goods, materials and supplies under supervision
  • Receiving materials into the store, cross-checking deliveries against purchase orders
  • Storing materials safely and in an organised manner, in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Maintaining accurate stock records, including regular physical stock counts
  • Maintaining an up-to-date spares catalogue within the CMMS
  • Preparing regular reports on stock levels, usage rates and trends for management
  • Reviewing min/max stock levels based on lead times to avoid over-expenditure while meeting maintenance needs
  • Managing the preferred supplier database to optimise procurement costs and lead times
  • Coordinating the dispatch of goods and liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery issues or discrepancies
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers to support effective stock management
  • Assisting with filing of maintenance records and general administrative duties
