About The Position

Rich’s, a family-owned food company, is seeking a Maintenance Storeroom Clerk for Shift 3. This role is dedicated to providing effective, efficient, and courteous service to internal customers requiring MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items. Responsibilities include managing internal inventory, processing receipts from vendors, and supporting maintenance planning functions. The position will also assist the buildings and grounds department with various assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively with other Company associates.
  • Gain experience in Storeroom systems and procedures.
  • Gain further experience in computer systems of the Company.
  • Learn related maintenance planning functions and the timing of work associated with maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Knowledge of specific Company policies, procedures, and reports regarding Storeroom and Maintenance planning processes.
  • Ability to be certified by the company's sponsored forklift training program to operate maintenance forklifts inside and outside.
  • Increase administrative, customer service, and computer skills.
  • Preparing reports and plans (preparing written materials, charts, graphs, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to be a fast learner and assimilate new software, procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to facilitate constant interaction with a wide variety of personalities and management styles.
  • Ability to maintain focus on assigned tasks despite constant interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Issuing spare parts and operating supplies to all Plant personnel.
  • Recording all transactions using appropriate sign-out sheets or computer terminal (MFGpro/SAP).
  • Receiving all items provided by suppliers during the work shift, verifying items against packing lists and purchase orders, and noting discrepancies.
  • Disbursing received items to appropriate spare parts storage shelves, Work Order parts totes, or delivering to the requestor if delivery is required. Notifying the requestor when an item has arrived if delivery is not required.
  • Ensuring established minimum levels for inventoried items are maintained by performing physical inventories, comparing quantities on hand with re-order quantities, and preparing Parts Order Requests for items at or below re-order quantity.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly Storeroom and receiving area, including sweeping floors, dusting, straightening inventory, and general housekeeping.
  • Performing all tasks within the company's policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
  • Maintaining effective communication with superiors, co-workers, and other departments, including accurate and timely verbal communication, responding to information requests, and coordinating written information.
  • Performing planning functions to assist maintenance teams by posting Preventative Maintenance Work Order lists, reports, and Production Schedules in the Maintenance Shop.
  • Heavy lifting, possessing a valid driver’s license, and forklift operation are required.
