About The Position

A maintenance storeroom clerk is responsible for managing maintenance inventory, tools, spare parts, and supplies used in manufacturing or production operations. This role supports maintenance technicians and production teams by ensuring materials are accurately stocked, organized, tracked, and readily available to minimize equipment downtime. Maintains a secure, organized, and efficient storage environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with inventory management software
  • Communication skills to coordinate with maintenance teams
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years relevant maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
  • Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage’s policies and procedures.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming maintenance parts, tools, and supplies against purchase orders or work orders to ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness. Report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance materials in an inventory management system or logbook. Track stock levels, movement, and condition to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Store materials in designated locations with clear labeling and logical placement for quick retrieval. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe storeroom environment.
  • Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance staff according to work orders or requisitions, recording all transactions to update inventory records.
  • Process returns of defective or incorrect items to vendors, coordinate shipments, and ensure proper credit or replacement.
  • Follow all safety protocols, handle hazardous materials properly, and ensure the storeroom complies with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Work closely with maintenance supervisors to plan and schedule material needs, ensuring staging and availability for ongoing and scheduled maintenance work.
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock usage, discrepancies, and maintenance material needs to support planning and budgeting.
  • Handle sensitive or high-value materials (e.g., specialty tools, safety equipment) with extra care and security.
  • Performs all other related duties.
